Ok tbh they’re kinda the same as in ported game. I’ll give a very brief summary on the history though.

Doubutsu no mori was an N64 game released only in Japan.
Since it was a late incomplete release they ported it to Gamecube and called it Doubutsu no mori+ with added features like gba connectivity.

That version got released as Animal Crossing in the west with some added stuff and localization changes such as Thanksgiving and changing some Japanese things in the game like the tree shrine changed to the wishing well.

NoJ side was impressed with what NoA added and decided to rerelease that version with even more added things called Doubutsu no mori e+
